2026 Volunteer Information
The Sharks rely on volunteers to run its program. We cannot run meets without upwards of 40-75 volunteers per meet, depending on if it's a Home or Away Meet. Please understand that your child's participation on this swim team assumes your family's participation through volunteering. In addition to a $75 charge per shift missed, your swimmer may not be eligible to swim in subsequent years if your family's volunteer commitment isn't met. Volunteering is a great way to get to know your neighbors and show our kids what amazing things we can accomplish when we all work together! Not to mention how fun it can be!
You are responsible for your shifts, if you have signed up for a shift you are no longer able to work, please make arrangements to switch with another person.
NEW THIS YEAR: please use the Shark Shift Swap if you need to trade any of your volunteer shifts.
Please make sure the parent rep volunteer coordinator (Kate Strecker) is aware if you make a swap and the details so we can update the system. Thank you for your cooperation.
2026 Volunteer Coordinators
All our volunteer shifts and assignments are led by volunteer coordinators. These coordinators will be in touch with you before each meet to be sure you are ready for your shifts. If you have any questions about your assignments, these coordinators are your first point of contact!

Parent Reps
Parent reps are here to support the coaches, coordinate volunteers, represent our team to the RMSL, and take care of overall management of the team. If you have any questions about registration or the team, please contact a parent rep!
Parent rep positions are a two year commitment, and there are two parent reps from Bow Mar South and from Bow Mar. If you are interested in volunteering as a parent rep for 2026, please let one of the current parent reps know!
